Anywhere I go, I always look forward to tracking down new coffee shops and cafes. Something about a small-town coffee shop never gets old, the lattes, the pastries, and the welcoming atmosphere. In this series, I will share my experiences of any coffee shop stops! Being a local, I have had the opportunity to try both of downtown’s coffee shops – Oconee Coffee Roasters and The Sinclair. I can’t wait to tell you about both – so stay tuned!
Oconee Coffee Roasters
142 Academy St, Madison, GA 30650
Oconee Coffee Roasters is my #1 overall favorite. Located right next to Madison Markets, there is plenty of parking and it is easily accessible. When you enter, you are greeted by amazing employees who will answer any questions – sometimes coffee gets complicated lol. The menu has grown and now has so many options including matcha, flavors such as lavender and white chocolate, and of course the basics such as espresso and drip coffee. Upstairs leads to a nice sitting area perfect for enjoying your coffee and getting some work done. Although I try to switch it up, the iced vanilla latte with oat milk will always be on the top of my list. Highly recommend grabbing a coffee and taking a stroll through Madison Markets – a little shopping never hurts.
The Sinclair
298 Hancock St, Madison, GA 30650
Another I would consider a go-to is The Sinclair, one of the many Mad Hospitality experiences throughout the Downtown area. They are located right in the square, close to everything else there is to offer. My favorite part of this spot, aside from the coffee and baked goods, is the outdoor seating area. Any free day I have that I need to get some work done, this is one of my favorite places to be. The combo of warm weather, a good drink, and beautiful scenery makes any day a good day. Not to mention, they also have cocktails, lunches, and more – their mojito is one of my favorites. While The Sinclair is a coffee shop during the day, it transforms into an upscale café and lounge by night. Another great recommendation in my book!
